Hello, My Name is May-May
This weekend Mabel started identifying herself as May-May. She pointed to a picture of a baby in a book and said 'May-May!', and then a few hours later saw a photo of herself and said the same thing. I really thought Mabel was a name that couldn't be shortened, but apparently I was wrong. It's very cute that she recognizes herself and realizes she has a name. I am fairly certain she will still answer to Mabel, and also Nugget, Goose, etc.

Crazy Hat Day
Today is Crazy Hat Day at St. Jerome's, in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday. (It's also Jon Bon Jovi's birthday. If only Mabel had a tiny pair of leather pants to wear in celebration.) Here's Mabel enjoying morning snacktime, looking glorious in her Crazy Hat. Which, upon further reflection, makes her look a bit like 1) a bridesmaid from the 80's and also 2) a little old lady at a tea party.
